China Visas

Please send the following:

STEP 1 - PASSPORT

  • Please enclose your valid passport.
  • Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months beyond the date you intend to enter into China.
  • Your passport should have two completely blank pages for your visa. (Please note: pages 22-24 are Amendment Pages & are not considerable for Visas. The Chinese Consulate will not place a Visa on these pages.)

STEP 2 – VISA APPLICATION(S)

Please fill out, print and sign one Chinese Visa Application. Remember to fill out all of the fields and sign prior to sending.

**IMPORTANT: Chinese applicants (including people born in Hong Kong & Taiwan) must write his/her Chinese name in section 1.3 of the application form. Failing to do so will result in the rejection of your Visa.

CHINA CONSULATE FEE:
The Chinese Consulate is currently issuing one year multiple entry visas for U.S. Passport holders only, for a stay of up to 60 days per entry. *Passport holders of any other countries are currently receiving a Single or Double Entry visa valid for up to six months, with a stay of up to 30 days.

$130 – Regular Processing (5 business days)
$150 – Express Processing (2 business days)
$160 – Rush Processing

**It is up to the Consulate to decide on the actual validity that they will grant to an applicant.

TL TRAVEL FEE:
These fees are not included in the Consulate Fee, and the fees are per applicant.

$35: Regular processing
$70: Express processing
$90: Rush processing

**The processing time counts from the day the application is submitted to the Consulate. Saturdays, Sundays and consulate scheduled holidays do not count as processing days.

STEP 3 - PHOTOS

Please enclose one 2 x 2 passport photo with your application.

STEP 4 - SUPPORT

Support is documentation(s) confirming your trip and the reasons for your visit. Support is slightly different if you are traveling for Business or as a Tourist. You will need to provide copies of the following:

FOR BUSINESS VISAS –

  • A Letter (on company's letterhead), stating the employee's name and the nature of business that he/she will conduct in China, OR an invitation letter from your host organization in China.

FOR NON-U.S. PASSPORT HOLDERS (proof of your US status) -

  • A copy of your Green Card, front and back, OR a copy of your valid U.S. Visa.

FOR CHINA-BORN APPLICANTS and CHILD of CHINA-BORN APPLICANTS-

  • A copy of your Canceled China Passport -OR- copy of a previous Chinese Visa.
  • For children applicants who are applying for a Visa for the *First Time of China-born parent(s), a copy of his/her birth certificate, or parents' Canceled Chinese passport is required, along with a copy of his/her Green Card.
  • Children with Parents holding only a U.S. Visa are eligible only to obtain a Travel Document. The parent must appear in person at the Consulate to apply for this Travel Document.
