Brazil Visas
 
**IMPORTANT** Unfortunately, Brazil has now become strictly Jurisdictional. We will only be able to assist if you reside in the following states within these Jurisdiction:
[HOUSTON] Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma & Texas.
[WASHINGTON DC] District of Columbia, Kentucky, Ohio, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, & North American Basis EXCEPT Guam.
Please send the following:
STEP 1 - PASSPORT
- Please enclose your valid passport, and the passport MUST be signed.
- Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months beyond the date you intend to enter into Brazil.
- Your passport should have two completely blank pages for your visa. (Please note: pages 22-24 are Amendment Pages & are not considerable for Visas. The Brazilian Consulate will not place a Visa on these pages.)

STEP 2 – VISA APPLICATION
Starting from February 20, 2009, the Consulates have switched over to a new system - the Electronic Visa Application system.
Please use this link to fill out your application. Choose the option in the third box on the left marked VISA REQUEST and begin from there. You will be prompted to print a Protocol report at the end of the application. This single page Protocol sheet IS your application. Please do not neglect to sign it.
BRAZIL CONSULATE FEE:
Non-US citizen fee varies according to your nationality, please contact us for information.
The regular processing time is now 10 business days. There are NO exceptions to the processing time until further notice from the Consulate.
U.S. Citizens - $150 per Visa (TOURIST Visas)
U.S. Citizens - $210 per Visa (BUSINESS Visas)
The Consulate will make the final determination on the validity of the visa and the length of stay allowed. Your first entry must be made within 90 days from the date of issue, or the Visa will become invalid.

These fees are not included in the Consulate Fee, and the fees are per applicant.
$50: Regular Processing
**The processing time counts from the day the application is submitted to the Consulate. Saturdays, Sundays and consulate scheduled holidays do not count as processing days.
STEP 3 - PHOTOS
Please enclose one 2 x 2 passport photo with your application.

STEP 4 - SUPPORT
Support is documentation(s) confirming your trip and the reasons for your visit. Support is slightly different if you are traveling for Business or as a Tourist. You will need to provide copies of the following:
FOR TOURIST VISAS –
- A copy of your Flight Itinerary.
- A copy of your Driver's License.
FOR BUSINESS VISAS –
- The items mentioned above, along with:
- Letter (on company's letterhead) addressed to the Consulate General of Brazil, stating the employee's name and detailed nature of business that he/she will conduct in Brazil. **Individuals involved in installation, service and/or repair of equipment in Brazil, do not qualify for a business visa.
- If the applicant is self-employed, an additional letter will be required from his/her bank, containing financial references.
- An invitation letter from your host organization.
FOR NON-U.S. PASSPORT HOLDERS (proof of your US status) -
- A copy of your Green Card, front and back, OR
- A copy of your valid U.S. visa.
FOR TRAVELERS UNDER THE AGE OF 18 WHO ARE TRAVELING ALONE OR WITH ONE PARENT -
- A notarized letter from the non-traveling parent or parents giving permission for the child to travel to Brazil (click here to download child's consent form). **The Notary Public should be from the state from which you reside in.
- A copy of the birth certificate for the child traveler.
**IMPORTANT FOR ALL TRAVELERS** If you traveled within the last 90 days to any of the following countries: Angola, Bolivia, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Colombia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ecuador, French Guiana, Gabon, Ghana, Gambia, Republic of Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria, Peru, Sierra Leone, Sudan or Venezuela, a Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is required. Please note that Yellow Fever vaccination is advisable if your destination in Brazil includes any of the following States: Acre, Amapá, Amazonas, Federal District, Goiás, Maranhão, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Pará, Rondônia, Roraima, and Tocantins. The Brazil Consulate MUST get a copy of your vaccination certificate before they issue your Visa.
For children between the ages of 3 months and 6 years, a copy of an International Certificate of Vaccination showing valid polio vaccination is required.
