Bolivia Visas

Starting from December 1, 2007, Bolivia requires that citizens of the United States, including Green Card holders, who will be traveling to Bolivia for Tourism have a valid Tourist Visa.

Please send the following:

STEP 1 - PASSPORT

• Please enclose your valid passport.
  
• Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months beyond the date you intend to enter into Bolivia.
  
• Your passport should have two completely blank pages for your visa. (Please note: pages 22-24 are Amendment Pages & are not considerable for Visas. The Bolivian Consulate will not place a Visa on these pages.)

STEP 2 – VISA APPLICATION(S)

Please fill out, print and sign one Bolivia Visa Application. Remember to fill out all of the fields and sign prior to sending.

BOLIVIA CONSULATE FEE:
Bolivian Visas will usually hold a validity of 5 years from the date of issue, & will permit the holder entrance into Bolivia 3 times per year, for a total stay of 90 days. The Consulate, in the end, will determine the actual validity of your visa.

The regular processing time is 7 business days.
$100 - Tourist Single Entry
$85 - Business Single Entry
If you would like to Rush your Bolivian Visa, add $30 to the Consulate fee.

These fees are not included in the Consulate Fee, and the fees are per applicant.

$45: Regular processing
$90: Rush processing

**The processing time counts from the day the application is submitted to the Consulate. Saturdays, Sundays and consulate scheduled holidays do not count as processing days.

STEP 3 - PHOTOS

Please enclose one 2 x 2 passport photo with your application.

STEP 4 - SUPPORT

Support is documentation(s) confirming your trip and the reasons for your visit. Support is slightly different if you are traveling for Business or as a Tourist. You will need to provide copies of the following:

FOR TOURIST VISAS –

• A copy of your round trip travel ticket indicating the form of entrance and exit into and out of Bolivia,
• A copy of your confirmed hotel reservation in Bolivia.

FOR BUSINESS VISAS –

• All the above mentioned items, AND:
• A Business Letter (on company's letterhead), stating the employee's name and the nature of business that he/she will conduct in Bolivia, OR
  
• An invitation letter from your host organization.

FOR NON-U.S. PASSPORT HOLDERS (proof of your US status) -

• A copy of your Green Card, front and back, OR
  
• A copy of your valid U.S. Visa.
